Who Dresses Public Figures on TV
Who dresses public figures on TV and in advertising is rarely down to chance. Behind every on-screen appearance, a stylist is at work, choosing each piece. At Valensia, our shirts have been chosen more than once by these professionals to dress some of the best-known faces on Italian television: from the Sanremo stage to Mediaset and Rai shows, from advertising to online content.
Who dresses public figures on TV and in advertising?
In most TV and advertising productions, the wardrobe is never an improvised choice. A stylist or costume designer selects each piece based on the character, the scene and the cut the camera calls for. From our experience, it's often the stylist who reaches out to us first, after seeing our collections on someone else or in a shop window. They're the ones who choose us, out of dozens of possible brands.
Our shirts in advertising
Valerio Lundini for Eden Red Restaurant
Valerio Lundini wore our Fantasia Valensia shirt in blue organic cotton for the Eden Red Restaurant advertisement. A natural, lightweight fabric, designed to stay comfortable even under studio lights for a full day of filming.

Bruno Barbieri for Costa Crociere
Bruno Barbieri chose the Fantasia Valensia shirt in yellow linen blend for the Costa Crociere commercial, filmed in a maritime setting that paired well with the lightness of the fabric and the colours of the pattern.

On the X Factor stage with Patagarri
Giovanni, saxophonist of Patagarri, wore our Fantasia Valensia shirt in blue organic cotton both on the X Factor live show and during filming of the band's new music video. Seeing a garment born in our workshop in Capriano del Colle on such a widely watched stage, and then again in the frames of a music video, remains one of the most concrete satisfactions of this work.

From the Sanremo Festival to online channels
Francesco of Streetclerks at the Ariston after-party
Francesco, of Streetclerks, wore our Fantasia Valensia shirt in beige linen blend for the after-party at the Ariston, during the week of the Sanremo Festival.

Gabriele Vagnato, between interviews and videos
Gabriele Vagnato chose two different shirts for two different occasions: the black and green blurred check flannel shirt for an interview, and the animalier patchwork velvet shirt for a video on his YouTube channel. Two fabrics and two very different constructions, a sign that the same collection can dress very different registers.

Amadeus and "The Cage – Prendi e scappa"
Amadeus wore several Valensia shirts across episodes of "The Cage – Prendi e scappa", including the washed denim shirt with hand-embroidered details. Every embroidery on that shirt takes hours of work. Seeing it worn by a host of this calibre, in prime time, confirms the value of that time spent.

The satisfaction of being chosen
Every collaboration described here started with a request that came to us, not a pitch we sent out. Seeing our shirts on a stage, on TV, in a music video or in an interview means something simple: people working in the industry, with access to thousands of brands, looked at our shirts and chose them. Behind every piece you see worn by these figures is the same artisanal process we follow for every customer who walks into our store.
Where to find Valensia shirts
The Fantasia Valensia shirts and the other pieces in the collection are available online and at our two stores: in Capriano del Colle, in the province of Brescia, where every garment is born, and at the concept store in Forte dei Marmi, Via Idone 6, open during the summer season.
