Men's shirt in natural beige Japanese jacquard
The charm of Japanese jacquard: the art of weaving meets Valensia style
In a world dominated by fast-fashion and industrial prints, there is a different way to understand elegance: one that is not only seen with the eyes, but felt to the touch. Today we want to take you on a journey to discover one of the treasures of our new collection: the Japanese jacquard shirt.
What is Jacquard fabric?
Many confuse Jacquard with a simple print, but the reality is much more fascinating. Jacquard is a patterned fabric, which means that the motif (in our case a refined tone-on-tone paisley) is not applied on top of the fabric, but is created during weaving.
Thanks to the complex interlacing of thousands of threads, a texture is obtained that is:
-
Three-dimensional:
The design has relief and depth.
-
Rich:
The weave reacts to light dynamically.
-
Durable:
Being an integral part of the fabric structure, the motif will never fade.
The excellence of Japanese cotton
Why did we choose Japan? Because Japanese craftsmanship is renowned for its almost obsessive precision and for the use of looms that work at slower speeds, guaranteeing inimitable compactness and softness. The result is a garment that holds its shape, breathes on the skin and conveys a feeling of discreet luxury.
The details that make the difference
Such noble raw material requires equally high-quality tailoring. For this shirt, we have selected:
1. Real mother-of-pearl buttons
No plastic. We have chosen natural mother-of-pearl buttons which, with their iridescent reflections, crown the luster of the jacquard fabric. Each button is unique, just like those who wear a Valensia garment.
2. The semi-spread collar
A classic of modern shirting. The semi-spread collar is the most versatile choice: perfect with a tie for a formal event, but also impeccable worn open for a summer aperitif, always maintaining a structured look.
3. Natural Beige: the color of 2026
We chose a warm and dusty shade of natural beige. It is a "fundamental" color in the men's wardrobe because it pairs with everything: from dark denim to tailored blue trousers, as well as earth tones and olive green.
How to style it
The jacquard shirt is the essence of Quiet Luxury. We suggest wearing it under an unlined blazer to enhance its texture, or alone with slightly rolled-up sleeves for an "effortless chic" look.
